The 8th international conference for next generation solar energy (NGSE8<\/a>) was held in Erlangen, Germany, between December 12 and 14, 2023, with the participation of several world-class experts in the field. The organizers of the event were Carolin M. Sutter-Fella, from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Molecular Foundry, USA; Karen Forberich from the Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-N\u00fcrnberg for Renewable Energy (HIERN), DEU; Osbel Almora, from URV, ESP; and\u00a0Christoph J. Brabec from HIERN and the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-N\u00fcrnberg, DEU.<\/p>\n

On December 14, 2023, the 2nd emerging photovoltaic workshop (ePVW2) took place, with the opening presentation of the 4th emerging PV report<\/a> by Osbel Almora. Subsequent talks were presented by several members of the Emerving-pv.org<\/a> initiative, including\u00a0 Rene Janssen<\/a>, Kenjiro Fukuda<\/a>, Maria A. Loi<\/a>, and Barry P. Rand<\/a>.
